Data Sources
NFL Games Hub combines live data with hand-checked facts. This page explains where each kind of information comes from.
Live data
Schedules, kickoff times, scores, box scores, player and team statistics, rosters and injury reports are loaded automatically from a commercial sports data feed. Game pages update within minutes during play; standings, the playoff picture and stat leaders are recalculated after every game.
Calculated by us
Standings order and playoff seeds use the NFL tiebreaking procedures (head-to-head, division and conference record, common games, strength of victory and strength of schedule), applied to the final scores. Passer rating uses the NFL formula. Pages say where a calculation is simplified.
Checked by hand
TV channels for national games, Super Bowl results and sites, all-time records, holiday schedules (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and Pro Bowl news are checked against official and widely trusted sources, including NFL.com, team websites and major sports outlets, before they are published.
